Technical Difficulties and Updates

Technical Difficulties

Lately the site has been experiencing some difficulties loading and I haven’t been able to access the blog. Please forgive me for this little interruption to my series of blogs. My site administrator has been looking into the problems and we will hopefully begin seeing some improvements.

Updates

I have had the opportunity to interact with several individuals about health, fitness and the Lord. I am so humbled and thankful for the people who read this little blog. Please continue to email me with questions, comments or ideas. Remember the best way to reach me is trillfitness@gmail.com.

This past month I went to the Hope Resource Center to speak with a wonderful group of pregnant and postnatal moms about fitness and nutrition during pregnancy. We then did a series of exercises that anyone can do and that are safe for pregnancy. This month I will have the joy of teaching innercity children about exercise and fitness at SOAR Youth Ministries summer camp. I look forward to being with the children. My son will also be with me so this should be quite an adventure.

Thank you for visiting and keep coming back!

On Hiatus

Please forgive me for my lack of posts. I have been gathering participants for the April training, enjoying the spring with my son with trips to the zoo and such, and  doing tax stuff for my husband. I hope to begin posting again soon. My goal would be to have a new and prayerfully useful post up by next Tuesday. Thanks for your patience and thank you for stopping by!

Blessings,

Trillia

Encouraging Email, Updates and News

Recently I received the following email and I wanted to share it with you…

“I just wanted to let you know that your website has served me.  After reading some of it, I was convicted of gluttony and have since planned out my meals for the entire week!  It will also wind up saving me a lot of money, too, as I won’t be thinking, “Hmm…what can I eat, guess I’ll eat out!” as often.”

I was so humbled to receive this for several reasons but most of all that God would be so kind to this person and reveal sin and then help them apply what they were learning. I am amazed that God would use this site in such a way. My prayer has been that the site would be useful and that God would be glorified. Thank you readers for the emails letting me know you are reading, for signing up for the newsletter (keep signing up!) and for those of you who know me personally, for coming up to me to encourage me. My faith is built and stirred. I hope that the site would continue to serve people as they pursue God as it relates to fitness and nutrition.

WRJZ JOY620 and The Bob Bell Show

If you are in the Tennessee Valley and 60 miles surrounding you can tune into Joy620 this Friday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 am to hear me on The Bob Bell Show (I may not actually be on until 7:45 am so stick around just in case). I was once again humbled to be asked to come on the show and look forward to sharing information  about Trill Fitness and In His Strength with Bob Bell’s listeners. If you miss it, no worries, all of his shows are archived on their website. You may access it here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

New Topics

Once we are finished with weight lifting we are going to explore diets and diet plans. I was also asked a question via email about exercise for the plus size person. I have asked an expert in this field to come along side me and share some information that I am sure will serve those of you who believe you struggle with exercise and being overweight.

Trill Fitness Gets an Upgrade

I’m very excited to announce some changes coming for Trill Fitness. The blog format will stay the same (Monday and Friday blog entries, monthly themes, etc.), but we will be adding the following:

1. A Website

In the next few weeks Trill Fitness will be launching a website. The website will provide more information and hopefully allow us to be more effective

2. Products and Services

On Monday you will hear more about products and services we will offer for you. I look forward to sharing that with you soon!

3. A Logo! See Above

Megan Russell, part owner of Perceive Design and daughter to the Director of Worship Development for Sovereign Grace Ministries, Bob Kauflin, designed the logo for Trill Fitness.

There were several wonderful designs to choose from and honestly I wanted to pick them all. Actually I think I did pick them all (I emailed her and changed my mind twice!). Here are the reasons for choosing this design:

1. The “t” looks like a Cross.

2. It’s clean and simple.

3. One friend wrote that the logo made her want to “get up and exercise.”

Suzanne Holbrook, a graphic designer and intern for Volunteers for Christ wrote: “It’s clean, more defined and “edgy”, things that complement what run through someones mind when they think of exercise, (healthy food, clean cool water, lean and slim, etc.). She did a really good job! The type inside the logo looks great set that way. ”

Thank you Megan for your hard work and diligence!

To God’s Glory, News

I am excited to share some news with you. I am currently taking a course called “The Lord’s Table” with Setting Captives Free. Setting Captives Free is a ministry that focuses on teaching biblical principles in hopes of helping those struggling with habitual sin such as substance abuse, gambling, sexual purity and food issues. I am taking the course on food issues.

Why am I taking this course? I have a desire to learn and grow in biblical wisdom. I pray that God would use this course to help inform my posts and writings and I look forward to sharing what I learn with you. Also, I am studying for the purpose of one day mentoring others who take the course at Setting Captives Free.

For more information or to learn how you may take the course go to Setting Captives Free or click on the link at my sidebar.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1Cor. 10:31)

p.s. If you are wondering how I am doing this. I have officially joined The 5:00 Club.
