Frequently Asked Questions about Let’s TrainTogether

I have had a few questions and thought this post would be helpful.

1. I am from another country. Can I participate in the training?

Absolutely! Please join us. If there are not road races in your particular city or town feel free just to do the training!

2. I would like to participate but would like to remain anonymous. Is this possible?

Yes. You can participate and remain anonymous. None of the other participants ever have to know you participated and if you win a prize your name will not be displayed or announced as long as you let me know you want to be anonymous. Please let me know though that you are participating!

3. It’s cold outside and I just can’t run in the cold. Can I train inside?

Yes! I can’t get myself to run outside yet either! At some point it will be good to take it on the road because road resistance and a treadmill are quite different.

4. How long should my runs be?

Next week I hope to dive into the actual training process a little further. You can also peruse Jeff Galloway’s site for more information. Please remember, this is my first time too. I will be learning along with you!

5. What are some cross training I can do?

Cycle, weights, elliptical machine, etc. I will post some exercises throughout the next few weeks to give you ideas on how to maximize your cross training.

6. Can I walk the entire 5k, 10k, or half marathon and still participate?

Absolutely! You do not have to run.

7. When does registeration close?

Register by April 1 to be included in the various drawings for the last month . You can look back on my entries and continue the 17 week training starting on the date you would like.
